What is an interactive book, and how does it differ from a traditional book?

An interactive book, also referred to as interactive fiction book, is a one which has multiple storylines/adventures. The reader will encounter points in the book where they get to make a choice about the direction of the story. Each choice results in a new branch of the story. The reader may enjoy one storyline/adventure in a sitting, and an entirely different one in the next sitting, all within the same book.

Is Ten Dollar Adventure an actual physical book?

Ten Dollar Adventure is published as a physical book (paperback and hardcover editions), web book, and audiobook. The digital editions (web book and audiobook) have interactive features such as the arithmetic explainer, audio narration, and ability to customize the listening experience with interludes or intermissions.

What is the target age range for readers of the book?

The book takes the form of an early chapter book. It is thus suitable for advanced readers as young as 6. The grammar, concepts of money management, business, and entrepreneurship within the book make it suitable for readers up to 11.

Are the digital editions of the book (Web and Audiobook) accessible on Mac or Windows or Android or iOS?

The digital editions of the book are accessible on any operating system (Mac, Windows, Android, iOS) that runs a modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge etc.). The digital editions are accessed via the browser on mobile or desktop devices.

Does the audiobook require constant exposure to a screen?

Not at all. After you select a storyline/adventure, hit play and turn off the screen. The audiobook will run to completion on its own, making it a great accompaniment for a car ride or classroom setting.

What is the difference between audio narration in the web book and the audiobook?

The audio narration feature of the web book allows you to play back a single chapter you are reading. The audiobook is a standalone audio player that can narrate an entire storyline/adventure, an experience akin to that of a streaming music service.

Can I gift a digital book (Web Book or Audiobook)?

Yes indeed. Make the purchase as if it were your own. After you make the purchase, you will have the ability to reassign one ore more of the digital products you purchased to someone else as a gift. Note that this reassignment/gifting is permanent and cannot be undone.

Can I order multiple copies/licenses of the Web Book or Audiobook and assign each one to another person?

Yes indeed. When you purchase more than one digital book of the same type (eg. 2 audiobooks), you will have an opportunity to assign access to both after checkout. Note that once an assignment is made, it is permanent and cannot be withdrawn/modified.
